Snapchat gets Story Explorer update

Snapchat has been making some changes recently and the latest addition has been revealed as Story Explorer.

This will be a form of curated content, which is something social media services are becoming increasingly interested in, just look at Twitter Moments. In this case, if you're looking at a public Snapchat story that you're interested in, you can just swipe to get more on the same subject.

That's pretty cool - harnessing the volume of Snapchat users to bring different perspectives on the same story and deliver them as a constantly updated feed which you can explore whenever you like. And features like this are important if a service wants to remain relevant and, more importantly, keep people on their app or site rather than navigating somewhere else for news or information.

The update is currently live stories in New York and Los Angeles but expect it to expand soon.
