iPad Pro may be pushed back to 2016

Apple hasn’t even hinted at the iPad Pro, its 12.9-inch tablet, but that hasn’t stemmed the wave of leaks, rumours and reports. It was initially tipped for release at the tail end of this year, but looks likely to slip to 2016.

Apple has, according to ETNews, been in contact with a range of screen makers including LG Display, Japan Display and Samsung Display. It hopes to acquire silver nano wire-wound (AgNW) touch panels to replace the ITO-based panels that it had been using in devices.Silver Nanowire coating tends to be more flexible, which would make it more suitable for Force Touch technology. This is currently found in the Apple Watch and New Macbook.Force Touch is expected to feature in the iPad Pro. It’s also rumoured to join the next fleet of iPhones.We expect to hear many more rumours before the iPad Pro is officially unveiled. If its release date is being pushed back to 2016, it will probably be some time before we hear anything directly from Apple.
