Huawei officially launches the Honor 7

Huawei’s Honor 7 was the worst kept secret in the last few weeks, but the Chinese manufacturer has finally officially unveiled the handset.

The various models only differ in terms of connectivity and storage limitations. It will be available in 16GB, 16GB with dual-SIM, and 64GB.

The Honor 7 features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixel) display with a pixel density of 423ppi. It’s powered by Huawei’s own octa-core Kirin 935 processor along with 3GB RAM.

It has a 20 megapixel rear camera and an impressive 8 megapixel front-facing camera.

As expected, the Honor 7 features a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera. This can be used to unlock the device by tapping once.

The handset is capable of connecting to LTE networks, and also boasts NFC, Wi-Fi, and bluetooth. There is also a 3,100mAh battery to keep the handset running throughout the day.

The Honor 7 is available in Huawei’s home market of China. At the moment, there’s no information about global availability.
