Einstein's handwriting may become a font

We may not be able to theorise like Einstein, but we may soon be able to write just like him. A Kickstarter project is underway, seeking funding to turn Einstein’s handwriting into a font.

Einstein's handwriting may become a font

Harald Geisler and Elizabeth Waterhouse are analysing Einstein’s notes provided by the Albert Einstein Archives. This lets them design each individual character. The painstaking process has taken six months to develop a working prototype. The pair is seeking funding so that they can devote another six months to completing the font. The Kickstarter project is seeking $15,000. At the time of writing it had raised $11,359.If the goal is met, which looks quite likely, the font will be released on PC, Mac, Linux, and iOS. Donating $15 will get you the font as soon as it’s released.Take a look at the video below to find out more about the project, the process of replicating handwriting as a font, and more.
