Apple releases new iPod touch

While most people are now using their smartphone as their music player on the go, there are still a few who like to have a dedicated device. That’s why Apple has released a new selection of iPods to its online store.

Apple releases new iPod touch

The iPod touch undergoes the most significant change. It now boasts a 64-bit A8 chip that will make it compatible with future iOS updates and ensure it can handle the latest games. It also features an 8 megapixel camera, bringing it in line with the iPhone 6.

The new iPods will be capable of fitness and elevation tracking, thanks to the M chip.

The 16GB iPod touch retails for $199, the 32GB model for $259, and the 64GB variant for $299. There’s even a new 128GB version that costs $399. The new iPod touch will be available in space grey, silver, gold, pink, red, and blue.

Elsewhere, Apple updated the colour scheme of the iPod shuffle and nano. They will be available in gold, space grey, silver, blue, pink and red.
