A cat video is playing in Times Square
For three minutes running up midnight every night this week, several massive billboards on New York's Times Square will be playing a serene video of a cat lapping up milk from a bowl. It's part of an art installation but really it's just an excuse to look at a cute cat, doing its thing.
The Midnight Moment project has been running since 2012, with synchronised videos working together to give passersby something a little different to look at for a change. There have been gorgeous boats, dogs, gloopy pictures, cartoons, portraits and more in that time, and the latest is Büsi which means kitty in German. Here's some info from the site:
Yep this cat was just part of a 96 hour movie... it's around 7 minutes long and goes like this.
So if you're out and about in New York and happen to be near Times Square at midnight, take a moment and look up to be greeted by this kitty. Who is certainly long since passed away, but the calm lapping of its little tongue will live on forever.
This video will be showing every night until the 29th of February 2016.
