VIDEO Adam Sandler's controversial Ridiculous 6 trailer

Honestly, it looks like one of Sandler's better efforts in recent years, which isn't saying much. The Western setting is always open for ridicule, though it's also a genre which can fall hard on its face - as in A Million Ways to Die in the West.

At least he's brought a lot of famous faces with him including Will Forte, Taylor Lautner, Steve Buscemi, Terry Crews, Nick Nolte, Luke Wilson, David Spade, John Turturro and Harvey Keitel. Ok so a lot of those people are probably Sandler's friends but they could help to up the comedy quotient.

The film itself got into some trouble during production when a few Native American actors walked off the set because they disagreed with the tone of the jokes, calling them racist and abusive. From this trailer, it seems like the film is just a silly satire and we're sure Sandler didn't mean any offense. He's been offending our eyes and ears for years already.

The Ridiculous 6 has a reported budget of around $60 million, so Netflix will definitely be hoping to get some new subscribers out of the fact that Sandler is working with them now, and to continue that trend as he four picture deal continues. Given his less than stellar box office performance in recent years we're going to have to wait and see how that works out.

The Ridiculous 6 will premiere on Netflix on the 11th of December 2015.
