John C. Reilly confirms Wreck-It Ralph 2 at Galway Film Fleadh
Reilly was the guest of honor at this yearâs Galway Film Fleadh. He confirmed that a sequel to the delightful 2012 animated film is in the works and that he will be in it.
Disney hasnât officially given the project the green light just yet, but that hasnât stopped director Rich Moore from brainstorming story ideas. He started thinking about a sequel as soon as Wreck-It Ralph became a box office hit.
He said that a sequel could potentially explore online and console gaming.
Wreck-It Ralph grossed more than $470 million for Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Disney is apparently in discussions with Nintendo over the licensing of characters like Mario, Luigi, and The Legend of Zeldaâs Link. It should make for another entertaining round of 'Spot the famous video game character.'
Expect more news from Wreck-It Ralph 2 in the near future.
