VIDEO: Submerged trailer - exploration game coming next week
It's a thoughtfully paced exploration game which revolves around a young girl and her deathly sick brother. To keep him alive you'll have to venture out into a post-humanity world where everything is all-but underwater to find vital supplies. That means boating and platforming in free-roam exploration. You'll find small bits of story throughout, giving you a glimpse at what happened to the world.
The game has been teased for quite a while now, and we've finally got word on a release date. It's coming to PC via Steam and PS4 in the US on the 4th of August, PS4 in Europe on the 5th of August and Xbox One on the 7th of August.
Here's the reveal trailer.
The official site promises a huge world to explore, and a good amount of leftover inhabitants to encounter. The lore calls them Remnants. They're also keen to point out that it can be played at your own pace, suggesting there won't be any real enemies or time-based challenges. That sounds like a relaxing time, even if it takes place in the wake of mass destruction.
