Doom update brings free multiplayer madness!
Luckily developers id Software have plenty of plans for the future of competitive play in their new blockbuster, and they're giving a lot of it away for free. This weekend marks the arrival of the second major update, which includes two new free multiplayer modes and an enhanced version of Snapmap. There's also a paid for DLC pack launching at the same time.
Check out the gory goodness here.
The new modes look like a lot of fun, with the classic mode of Capture the Flag perfectly suiting the fast pace of this new Doom. Snapmap has also been proving very popular as an accessible way to create entirely new levels, and now with more content than ever before.
The DLC pack Unto the Evil adds new weapons, maps and a demon character as well as new ways to customise your marine, all the good stuff,
