Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has held clear-the-air talks with owner-chairman Steve Morgan after the chairman’s dressing room rant on the players following Tuesday’s 3-0 home defeat by Liverpool.
McCarthy, whose side faced QPR today, insists the matter was resolved and Morgan’s outburst has "not eroded my authority". McCarthy said: "He knows my feelings on it and that’s enough for me. I don’t have to give anyone a headline. We’re second bottom and have won two games in 21 so do I need to sensationalise anything else?" McCarthy did admit: "This is the first time in my career a chairman has done that."
