Walsh odds-on for jockeys’ crown

RUBY Walsh is now just 1-3 to take the title of Festival top jockey after tightening his grip on St Patrick’s Day.

Walsh, now the most successful rider at the meeting in history, made it two triumphs aboard Sanctuaire in the Fred Winter Juvenile Novices’ Handicap Hurdle.

He also has plenty more to look forward to today and tomorrow.

Walsh has a second to his name from the Weatherbys Champion Bumper but is level on winners with Barry Geraghty, who secured a double on Big Zeb in the Champion Chase and Spirit River in the Coral Cup.

Geraghty’s on offer at 4-1, with Tony McCoy trading at 7s.
