Nolan stars as Kerry continue fine run
Kerry had the strong wind in the opening half but shot nine wides as they led 0-10 to 0-4 at the interval with Nolan on target eight times.
But the Kingdom opted for blanket defence on the restart and despite the efforts of Paddy Henry, Kevin Hinphey and Conor McSorley there was no way Derry could overturn the deficit.
Kerry boss Tom Howard admitted: “The conditions ruined it as a game; it made the game very fragmented. We got our noses in front by half-time) and we had to rethink our strategy for the second half. ”
