Dublin pioneers pull out all the stops

UNLIKE the Division One final, there are no medals for history-makers but this Dublin team yesterday didn’t need them to realise they have become pioneers of the game in the capital.

Reaching the county’s first All-Ireland semi-final in 63 years, they showed a maturity worthy of such an accomplishment.

In the face of adversity, losing their best hurler in the Leinster championship, Conal Keaney in such dramatic and cruel circumstances, they sucked it up and shone.
