Celtic and GAA in new link-up
Donegal’s All-Ireland winning manager works with the Scottish Premier League champions as a performance consultant and will promote a new pilot “Let’s Go – Lead Through Sport” youth development camp scheme.
Celtic chairman Ian Bankier and GAA president Liam O’Neill will also be in attendance.
Interestingly, McGuinness responded strongly to remarks made by O’Neill about Donegal following the Bitegate issue involving Paddy McBrearty. O’Neill had said there was no evidence provided to support the claim the forward had been bitten but McGuinness responded: “The president of the GAA is a school teacher and should know someone of that age is not fully developed and fully mature and doesn’t want to get into a courtroom-like situation.”
