Authorities probe racial abuse claim

Coiste na nÓg top brass are investigating the alleged racial abuse of an U16 footballer during a Cork championship semi-final on Saturday.

Clann na nGael have lodged a complaint with the Coiste na nÓg board over the alleged racial abuse of one of their players during the county U16 C semi-final against Grenagh.

The Clann na nGael management pulled their players from the field 17 minutes into the second half of the fixture at Kilmichael, claiming racial comments had been repeatedly directed at one of their players.
