Dynasty can deliver

HE mightn’t be totally straightforward, but Dynasty does appear to have found his level in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Maiden at Dundalk tonight.

The son of Danehill Dancer has been mixing it with far better opposition than he meets here and has been given a decent draw in five to boot. He performed well enough in a valuable sales race at Newmarket last time, finishing eighth of of 22 behind shock 66-1 winner, Oasis Dancer.

Prior to that Dynasty was a warm order in Leopardstown maiden, but didn’t quite go through with his effort in the closing stages. He was eventually beaten into third behind Chabal and Behtarini, with subsequent winner, Noll Wallop, in fourth. That effort alone appears to give Aidan O’Brien’s colt a decent edge in this league.

Jimmy Coogan’s once-raced Chapter Nine can land the www.dundalkstadium.com Maiden. He made a good start at Navan earlier in the month, staying on quite nicely to be beaten three lengths into second by another O’Brien inmate, Crimson Sky.

John Hayden’s Harriers Call should go close in the www.louthholidays.com Handicap. She went off a well-backed favourite at the Curragh on her latest appearance, but failed to cope with the late rush of Kilmannin.
