Detached building on an acre sells for €770,000

THE former GB Services Group property at Cork’s Doughcloyne Industrial Estate, has been sold for almost 50% over its guide, at a private auction.

Offered earlier this year by receiver Michael Cotter of E&Y, via Cohalan Downing, the detached building of almost 20,000 sq ft, on an acre just off Sarsfield Road, had a guide price of €525,000. However, after significant interest it was bought for almost €770,000, by an undisclosed buyer.

Key for new uses is an apex height of 6.7m, and a storage area with eaves height of 5.1m, suiting light industrial, wholesale, warehouse and distribution.

The same agents Rob Coughlan and Brian Olden of Cohalan Downing also have Unit 2, Doughcloyne Industrial Estate, a light industrial space with c 7,000 sq ft guiding €225,000 and interest is understood to be active.
