Teenage boy dies after getting into difficulty swimming at Dublin beach

A teenage boy has died after getting into difficulty swimming on Monday evening.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene on Monday at 7.30pm at Burrow Beach in Co Dublin.

The teen got into difficulty swimming and was removed from the water.

He was taken to Beaumont Hospital and then later to CHI at Temple Street in Dublin, where he later passed away from his injuries.
