PARENT EVENTS: The new mothercare.ie website offers product reviews and advice on pregnancy and parenting. A useful service is the new Mothercare Registry where parents can compile a list of essential items from which family and friends can choose a gift, for example the Innosense Starter Set, €79.99, which includes a steam steriliser and bottles. Mothercare has also compiled a handy collection of advice leaflets in their new Pregnancy Information Pack, which can be picked up in store. TREE HUGGERS The Tree Council of Ireland is asking parents to go outside with their children to celebrate all that nature has to offer on Tree Day 2014, Thursday, October 9. As part of this year’s campaign, themed ‘What can we learn about Trees?’, over 1,000 alder trees will be made available for primary schools, to help teach children about the importance of planting trees.
