IT’S the tail end of Friday afternoon and just hours before Pippa O’Connor is due to appear on the Late Late Show.

But you’d never guess it — she chats freely about family, work and fashion as if time was on tap.

Hours later she appears on our TV screens looking as if she’d just stepped out of a fashion shoot — hair, make-up and clothes, right down to the Louboutin shoes, are all picture perfect.

The glow may have something to do with being pregnant — her second baby is due in May.

“The hard part starts about now when you start getting very big. But I’m feeling great. I’ve been very lucky,” says the 31-year-old, who is married to TV presenter Brian Ormond.

Aside from tiredness, she’s had a breezy pregnancy so far.

“I’ve had no nausea, just real tiredness more so than ever before.

"I lead such a busy life where I’m visiting shoots or meeting people or running events, it would not have been ideal to be sick.”

Her son Ollie, who will be three in April, knows there is a baby on the way.

”When we ask him whether he wants a boy or girl, he says a dinosaur, so maybe he doesn’t fully get it,” she says.

A woman of many parts, she is a model, runs sell-out fashion events and a busy website — www.pippa.ie  — which offers a stream of fashion and beauty tips along with myriad shots of Pippa at work and at home.

“I probably have the biggest following for fashion. I know from running my events, the Fashion Factories, that I have a really wide range of women that follow me — anywhere from 18 to over 50. It’s great that I have such a wide audience.”

So how does she manage to stay so glamorous while pregnant?

“You look for things that are different shapes. I am going for dresses that are shift dresses and looser fits. You just have to look a bit harder.”

And she is in no hurry to shift the additional pounds post pregnancy.

“I am very relaxed and easy going and I wouldn’t be putting myself under pressure.

“I did get back to my natural shape after Ollie. But then I was three years younger and he was my first baby, I breastfed him, he was really hungry so the bump went relatively quickly.

"I presume every pregnancy is different. I won’t be worried either way as long as the baby is OK. “

What shape are you in?

A different shape to what I am normally in as I am six months pregnant. Other than that, I am in good shape and would be conscious of maintaining that through eating as healthily as I can and keeping active.

What are your healthiest eating habits?

My morning eating habits would probably be my healthiest. I recently started the Centra 5-a-Day challenge to increase my fruit and vegetable intake. I’m constantly on the go so it can be hard to always make healthy choices.

What are your guiltiest pleasures?

Chocolate! If I had my way I would eat it all day every day, however a recent trick I’ve learned is to slice a banana top with a bit of peanut butter and freeze on a baking tray. Super yum and not as naughty as chocolate.

What would keep you awake at night?

Sometimes I find it hard to switch off from work, especially with social media and always feeling ‘ON’.

How do you relax?

I go to the park with Ollie, I love getting out in the fresh air and running around with him. I also adore getting my nails done.

Who would you invite to your dream dinner party?

Oprah Winfrey, along with Victoria and David Beckham.

What’s your favourite smell?

Coco Chanel, it’s a classic and never goes out of style.

What would you like to change about your appearance?

I would love naturally thick and luxurious hair but I make the most of what I have. Hopefully my increased fruit and veg will help.

When is the last time you cried?

When Ollie gets upset or hurts himself it upsets me.

What traits do you least like in others?

Jealousy and bitterness.

What traits do you least like about yourself?

I am not very tidy and sometimes I can be too relaxed about things.

Do you pray?

No

What would cheer up your day?

Finishing everything on my to-do list. This rarely happens so it is a joy when it does.
