Report on Air Corps claims delivered to Department of Defence

The Department of Defence has confirmed that it has received a report into allegations that some Air Corps inspectors tasked with certifying the repairs and modifications carried out on the force’s aircraft are not qualified to sign off on the works.

Last June the Irish Examiner revealed that Defence Minister Simon Coveney had ordered an independent investigation into the allegations, which were made by a whistleblower.
