Patients/carers urged to share experiences of palliative care

The all-Ireland Let’s Talk About survey is being conducted by the All-Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care with support from the HSE and the Public Health Agency in the North.

The qualitative survey asks people with illnesses that may not be cured to share their experiences, both good and bad.

People living with conditions such as advanced respiratory disease, cancer, chronic kidney disease, heart failure or dementia can tell their story and help improve policy and services across the island.

AIIHPC director Paddie Blaney said they wanted people to be honest and specific when telling their good and bad experiences: “Each story is valuable, hundreds of stories and more will be powerful.”
