A POLISH national has been left scarred for life after a gang attack which began when he told a teenage girl that he did not have a cigarette, a court has heard.

Two teenage boys, both aged 17, and a 16-year-old girl, appeared at the Children’s Court yesterday charged with assault causing harm and violent disorder, at a park in Fairview, in north Dublin, on May 30 last year.

The judge held that one of youths should face trial in the Circuit Court and remanded him to appear again in December when he is to be served with a book of evidence.
