Faulty jet had to circle Dublin

A passenger jet was forced to circle over north Dublin for half an hour yesterday while the crew dealt with a suspected hydraulics failure before returning to Dublin Airport.

Air France flight AF-5120, operated by CityJet, left Dublin at 9.15am destined for London City Airport. There were 59 passengers and crew on board.

Soon after departure, the crew contacted air traffic controllers and reported that they had suffered a hydraulics failure.
