DJ Carey in hospital after heart attack

Hurling great DJ Carey is recovering in a Kilkenny hospital after a suspected heart attack.

The 41-year-old collapsed in the public waiting room of a Garda station yesterday morning and was taken to St Luke’s hospital, where was said to be comfortable.

His mother, Maura Carey, said the family did not know anything definite about the cause of his illness. But she said he was not in immediate danger.
