Do you eat jelly sweets? You might not after watching this

Jelly sweets are a popular treat to nibble on, but will you still snack easily on these sweet treats once you know how they are made?

Do you eat jelly sweets? You might not after watching this

We think you might think twice about having a chewy jelly after viewing this video tutorial on how gelatin is formed.

The video shows the manufacturing process of jelly sweets, but starts at the end first, showing you bags of lovely coloured jellies piled into a tray.

However, as you watch you see the stripping of pig skin, the chopping og carcusses and the boiling of bones that is all part of the process to form gelatin, the tasteless chewy texture that is used in a number of foods as a filling or thickening agent.

Gelatin is in a range of products including jelly sweets, vitamins, marshmallows, cheeses, yoghurts, soups, jelly and salad dressings.

Will you still eat it after watching this?
