This Kerry artist's take on the Healy-Raes might just explain everything

Danny Healy-Rae’s pronouncements in the Dáil last night on climate change and how "God above is in charge of the weather" have left many shaking their heads.

One fellow TD even dubbed him "Kerry’s Sarah Palin" - as you can imagine, that was not meant as a compliment.

It also generated a lot of comment online with users alternating between despair, mockery and humour.

Ciara Kenny, a pharmacist from Kerry who is clearly a dab hand at art, also posted this drawing to her Twitter account which many think hits the nail on the head.

She calls her theory ’the Healy Rae Cycle’.
