A Dublin paper company is making marriage equality confetti out of ’100% recycled lies’

Daintree Paper on Camden Street have launched their 'A Shred of Decency' campaign ahead of the Same Sex Marriage referendum in May. The campaign aims to "take lies and hate out of the debate".

As they explain in the video:

"At Daintree, paper is our favourite thing in the whole world. So when paper was used to spread some ugly lies in the run up to the marriage equality referendum we weren't one bit happy."

To counter this, they're launching a confetti "made out of 100% lies" with all proceeds going to YesEquality.

Daintree have made no secret of their support for the Yes campaign since they have come under new management. The previous owner Paul Barnes came under fire in 2013 for removing a same sex wedding topper from the store on religious grounds and sold the business a few months later.
