A bull trumps Nidge and All Ireland tickets in Kerry school raffle

It’s that time of year again, when you can’t go into your corner shop without coming out with a raffle ticket in support of the local school.

And as we all know, in Kerry they like to do things a little bit different.

So, when Ardfert National School got together to raise funds to build a school hall, they decided that a pedigree Aberdeen Angus bull would be the perfect ’grand prize’.

Yes, a bull.

Tickets are €10 and other prizes include a summer house 1km from the beautiful Banna Beach for one week, two All Ireland football final tickets for 2016 and a Love/Hate box set signed by Nidge himself.

But of course, the ’Banna Beauty’ comes first.

Just your standard annual school raffle in Kerry then.

If you’re not in, you can’t win - buy your tickets online here.
