Teddy Cashman takes chair of National Dairy Council
Based in Whites Cross, near Cork city, and a Dairygold and Glanbia supplier, he also chairs the IFA’s liquid milk committee, thereby developing strong relationships with farmers, dairies and retailers.
With this group, he acts on behalf of Ireland’s 1,900 specialist liquid milk producers, working on issues such as liquid milk prices and milk supply contracts.
Mr Cashman succeeds Jackie Cahill who stepped down as the National Dairy Council chair following his selection to run in the next general election for Fianna Fáil.
John Murphy from Craanford, Co Wexford, representing Glanbia was elected as vice chairman of the National Dairy Council.
