Receivers appointed to Dublin golf club

PwC’s Declan McDonald and Ken Tyrrel have been appointed joint receivers and assured management, key staff and suppliers the club continues to operate on a ‘business as usual’ basis.
The most recent accounts filed by the owners of the club, Monarch Properties, showed that the Golf Club had lost more than €137,000 in 2012.
The six figure loss was a marked improvement on the club’s performance in 2011 when the course had losses of nearly €356,000.
The golf course was designed by golf course architect Jonathan Gaunt and was named as one of the top 100 golf courses in Ireland by Golf Digest Magazine in 2009.
Monarch Properties were the developers of some of the biggest shopping centres in the country during the boom including The Square in Tallaght.
