FINANCE MINISTER Brian Lenihan plans to increase proposed spending cuts in 2010 after the publication of a report into government expenditure, the Sunday Business Post reported, without citing anyone.
He may target €2.5bn in cut to current spending, up from €1.5bn proposed in his budget in April, the Post said. That may allow him to postpone tax hikes.
