Leading trainer Willie Mullins sees accumulated profits at his Closutton Transport firm jump
New accounts lodged with the Companies Office show that pre-tax profits at his Closutton Transport Ltd firm last year increased by 45% to €55,640.
Revenues increased by 22%, going from €248,021 to €304,341.
Earlier this year, Mr Mullins enjoyed his best ever Cheltenham Festival.
The Bagnelstown trainer claimed victory with four of his runners on the opening day, and went on to achieve a record breaking eight victories during the festival.
During the last five jump seasons in the UK, horses trained by Mr Mullins have received prize money in excess of £3.2m while in the last five jump seasons in Ireland, his trained horses have earned a massive £12.8m in prize money.

In the 2014-15 jump season alone in Ireland, Mr Mullins’s trained horses won prize money totalling over £3m.
Mr Mullins has been the Champion National Hunt trainer over the past eight years and has won the title 10 times in all.
The trainer has won just about every major prize in Ireland and most in the UK, including the Champion Hurdle and the King George.
He began training in 1988 having worked as an assistant to both his father, Paddy and to Jim Bolger.
