Prime tillage holding with great views in east Cork

BACK in 2008, this prime tillage ground at Finure, Whitegate, Co Cork, hit the market, guide priced at a million euro.
It comprised 65 acres at the time and included a derelict dwelling which had value because of potential planning uses – particularly so in such a stunning, cliff-side location.
The property failed to sell at auction then, but was under negotiation when the property crash and a failure in equities worldwide hit.
Now in a new year and under a new agent, the Finure tillage land returns to the market, less the old dwelling and five acres.
Sarah O’Keeffe of Fleming Auctioneers is handling the sale of this prime, level property and is seeking a ball-park figure of €10,000 per acre for the land, but is open tonegotiation.
"This is a superb tillage holding in a renowned tillage area, stretching out to the coastline and views are genuinely breathtaking.
"Looking out over the harbour, the land is in one block and laid out large fields. There is a yard with shed, and water is from a well," says O’Keeffe.
No waste, with good road frontage, the property could be worth a punt for east Cork farmers.
