Revenge porn 'brute' jailed after posting photos and videos of woman online

A 20-year-old man described as a "brute and a bully" has been jailed for posting "revenge porn" photos and videos online of a woman to humiliate her.

Hassan Azam, from Desborough Park Road, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, pleaded guilty at a hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court to disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress and to stalking a person causing a fear of violence.

He was sentenced to a total of 28 months' imprisonment and made subject to a restraining order.

Detective Sergeant Carl Wilson said: "Azam pursued a course of conduct against the victim which consisted of threats to her and to her family, calls to the victim, her family and her place of work.

"He then went on to publish private images and videos of the victim on social media. The actions of the defendant in this case were designed to deliberately humiliate the victim.

"When passing sentence, the judge referred to the defendant as a brute and a bully - something that is clear from the facts of the case."

The "revenge pornography" offence took place on October 25 2015 and the stalking offence took place between December 1 2014 and November 2 2015, and both were committed in the High Wycombe area.
