Girlfriend charged after police find body of top chef

Police have discovered the body of one of France's best-known chefs hidden in a freezer.

The corpse of retired restaurateur Jean-Francois Poinard was found at an apartment in Lyon.

Detectives searched it after his ex-girlfriend drunkenly told her daughter "something unfortunate" had happened to him.

She has been charged with hiding a body and may face further charges once a cause of death has been established.
