French security guard makes off with €11m

A French bank security guard is on the run after vanishing with €11m of cash in his armoured van.

The 39-year-old suspect made off with the cash while his two colleagues were collecting more money from a bank in the city of Lyon.

The vehicle was recovered several hours later but the cash was gone.

All major airports out of France are on alert for the fugitive.
