Case of rabies confirmed in UK
The British Health Protection Agency has said that a patient from London is receiving hospital treatment after being bitten by a dog in Asia.
Paul Cosford from the HPA says there's no risk to the public.
"This is a very rare disease in the UK, in fact there have only been four cases since the year 2000", he said.
"All of those have been acquired in countries where rabies is common, and those are developing countries".
