WATCH: Georgia captain moved fast to assist Robbie Brady after head injury

Republic of Ireland footballer Robbie Brady is likely to miss Sunday’s match against Oman after suffering a head injury last night, with an update expected from the FAI some time today.

Brady crumpled to the ground after a nasty-looking clash of heads with Solomon Kverkvelia during the second half of last night’s World Cup qualifier against Georgia.

In addition to the care received from Ireland’s medical team, Brady can also thank Georgia captain Guram Kashia for instantly realising the seriousness of the injury.

As his teammates attended to him and called to the sideline for help, Kashia stayed calm and checked Brady’s tongue, supporting his head and helping put him in the recovery position.

Brady was stretchered off and taken for a precautionary scan, with manager Martin O’Neill suggesting afterwards that he was likely to have suffered a concussion

"He's as brave as a lion. I hope he's alright, he was concussed," O’Neill said.

Best wishes on a speedy recovery Robbie.
