The UFC has confirmed Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo's title fight will go ahead at UFC 189, despite reported injuries to Aldo.

In a statement, the UFC said it had received medical confirmation that Aldo did not suffer a broken rib during training, rather a bone bruise to his rib and cartilage injury.
