Hurley the latest Munster player forced to retire

Munster have confirmed that prop Darragh Hurley is the latest player to be forced to retire an account of ongoing injury problems.

The province have already seen Denis Leamy, Jerry Flannery and David Wallace announce they were quitting due to injuries this season.

And 26-year-old prop Hurley has now admitted defeat in his battle to overcome his persistent injury problems.

CBC Cork graduate Hurley played with Munster Schools and Ireland Schools and as a member of the Munster Academy played with the 2006 Ireland U21 World Squad.

He made his competitive debut for Munster back in September 2006 but injury confined him to just 36 caps.Home
