Five uncapped players to face Barbarians

Five uncapped players will run out in Kingsholm tomorrow evening when Ireland take on the Barbarians in the build-up to their three-Test series against the All Blacks (kick-off:7.45pm).

Declan Kidney has named an entirely uncapped front row of Brett Wilkinson, Mike Sherry and Declan Fitzpatrick.

The other uncapped players will occupy the wings with Simon Zebo and Craig Gilroy looking to impress in the green jersey.

Ireland's most capped player Ronan O'Gara will captain a side that contains a blend of youth and experience.

O'Gara is partnered in the half backs by Conor Murray. Paddy Wallace and Darren Cave form the centre partnership while Keith Earls starts at fullback.

Dan Tuohy and Donnacha Ryan form a new second row partnership at this level while Peter O'Mahony starts at number 8 with John Muldoon and Chris Henry completing the back row.

Ronan Loughney, James Coughlan, Paul Marshall and Nevin Spence are the uncapped players named among the replacements alongside experienced campaigners Rory Best, Donncha O’Callaghan and Andrew Trimble.
