Work is set to being within 10 days on a south Dublin apartment complex found to be in breach of building and fire regulations.

The Laurels in Dundrum is currently under the Receivership of KPMG.

The issues were discovered during routine works at the complex, which was developed by Tuskar Asset Management and constructed by Pierse Contracting.

In a statement this afternoon, the Receiver said that this is a legacy issue from the development and construction of the apartments.

Residents are being rehoused while the work is carried out over a three-month period.
