Two charged in connection with €1.6m Donegal cannabis haul

Two men have been charged in connection with the seizure in Donegal yesterday of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €1.6m.

Two men have been charged in connection with the seizure in Donegal yesterday of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €1.6m.

The two were arrested after around 2,000 plants, part of an elaborate growing operation, were seized at a warehouse in Trummon, Laghey, Co Donegal.

The suspects, aged in their 30s and 40s, will appear before a special sitting of Sligo District Court tonight at 9pm.
