Update 2.25pm: The crew of a transatlantic flight which diverted to Shannon Airport with an ill passenger this afternoon reported an issue with a fuel valve before landing.

An inspection of the runway was carried out after the emergency landing, during which it was confirmed that landing strip had been contaminated with aviation fuel.
