Social-media milestone for Tourism Ireland

Tourism Ireland has reached one million fans on Facebook around the world, making it the third most popular tourism board, after Australia and Spain on the social networking site.

The company responsible for promoting tourism in Ireland has doubled its Facebook fanbase in the past twelve months.

Reaching the one million mark is significant for Tourism Ireland as it means its message is reaching a wider audience through the friends of each person who has like their page.
