Richard Boyd Barrett to run in General Election

Richard Boyd Barrett has been selected to represent People Before Profit in the next General Election.

The Dublin TD ran unopposed in the Dun Laoghaire constituency at a selection convention last night.

Mr Boyd Barrett said that he hopes their campaign will be part of a bigger advance for the wider left in the elections.

He has been a vocal opponent of water charges since their introduction and has been behind several major protest rallies.
