The report into how allegations of clerical child abuse were handled in the Dublin Archdiocese will be published later today.
According to media reports the report has found that the Church authorities covered up abuse.
Sections of the report have been deleted so as not to prejudice any legal cases currently going through the courts.
It comes in two parts and details cases of abuse by 46 priests in the Dublin archdiocese.
Its findings have already been seen by the Cabinet and are understood to highlight how the Church hierarchy and State authorities failed to respond to allegations.
According to reports four archbishops didn't pass on abuse claims to gardaí throughout the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
Support groups have already criticised the leaking of the report but are now readying themselves for an increase in calls to their helplines from abuse victims.
