Property developer McGeever released after garda questioning

Businessman and property developer, Kevin McGeever, was last night released without charge by gardaí after being questioned in relation to his alleged abduction.

The 68-year-old was arrested on Thursday afternoon on suspicion of wasting Garda time.

A file is now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

His partner Siobhan O'Callaghan reported Mr McGeever missing in June last year, a month after he disappeared.

However, he was found by a passersby on a road in Co Leitrim in January of this year in a state of malnutrition and suffering from hypothermia.
